Super Simple Toy Car and Box Play

My little boy (18 months) is currently obsessed with cars and spends the majority of his day with at least one in his hand. He likes to drive them along the arms of our couches or the TV cabinet which is the perfect height for him when he is standing. I decided to extend on his interest by building him a little play centre to use his cars with.

Using a cardboard box, pieces of paper, toilet rolls and sticky tape this simple construction took me under 5 minutes to make and has provided him with many days of entertainment.

A good thing to remember when making things for your kids is that it does not matter what it looks like, to them anything is amazing, especially if it is made by Mum! So forget the painted backdrop, perfect cutting and hours of preparation and whip something up for your kids today!

(As a side note, I did have to replace the paper tunnels with cardboard from a cereal box as the paper tore very quickly!)

Happy making!

  2. I'm totally doing this! If I can pry some loo rolls off Master 2, who uses them as "eyescopes"!

  3. What a fun idea! I love the cardboard tube parking spots! Buying something like this in a store would cost a fortune - and I think I like this one better anyway!
